Workplace Applications Project
One of the essential ingredients of the new Diploma program in Dairy Science and Technology Dairy Production streams is participation in a workplace project. Participation in such a project will provide you with a further opportunity to apply the skills and knowledge you have gained throughout the course in an industry setting. It will also provide outcomes aligned to your employer’s needs. This project will be supported by an NCDEA trainer.
Formal mentoring has been recognised as an important element in the continuing professional development of the dairy processing industry. For this reason, students in the NCDEA Diploma of Food Science and Technology are strongly encouraged to establish formal career-development relationships with mentors.
The workplace application project is ideally placed to incorporate a formal mentoring program for you. Formal mentoring involves a commitment from both the mentor and the mentee. You can access the Guide to Mentoring in the Dairy Industry, which has been designed to help you establish your mentoring program, from the link below.
